Workforce Network of Kansas
Marketing Task Force
December 4, 2002

The call began at 9:00 a.m.

Participating in the conference call: Kim Conlee, Local Area IV; Kathy Ketchum, KDHR; and Vern Nikkel, Local Area I. Also participating was Konnie Leffler, Workforce Network of Kansas staff

After self-introductions, Ketchum gave some background on the Internet Recruiting Guide, explaining that it was modeled after a similar guide done by the state of Minnesota. Some changes have been made to the paper that changed the appearance of the colors used, but overall, the Guide matches the other WNK marketing materials in appearance. Ketchum would like to have all changes to the Guide in to her by December 5, so that it can go to the printer. She is hoping for distribution by mail right before or after the Christmas holiday. The manual will be available to the Speaker's Bureau and available at one-stops. The initial print run is 10,000 copies.

In the course of discussing final changes to be made to the Guide, members discovered that they did not all have the same draft version. Ketchum agreed to email the latest draft to all attendees, and they will then send any changes back to her as soon as possible. She will then send out the final draft. The consensus among the attendees was that time was of the essence in getting a final version to the printer.

The call ended at 9:50 a.m.
